A beautiful summer’s day with flat sea and a light North West wind brought 4 CODs to the line.
The boats short tacked up the Deganwy shore before peeling off to make for Channel mark 8.
Gwalch was in the lead until the mark but was taken by Alys with a much better mark rounding and Alys then raised her spinnaker.
Gwalch managed to regain her lead by the Perch on the way back on the first lap and, with the course shortened, having sailed over an hour in the light wind, Blue Bird stole 2nd place in a nail biting finish with only seconds between the 4 boats..
