Sailing Programme

During the sailing season (April to October) we have a full programme of events for the joy of sailing, friendly competition and improving our race skills and tactics.

  • Conway Yacht Club Sailing Races are scheduled around high tide on the event day
  • The start and finish line will be the Club Tower on Deganwy Prom or from the club launch, Siôr
  • Races typically run up to 90 mins 
  • The race course will be announced on VHF or displayed on the Club Tower Board
  • Muster time is ~2hrs before high water, when Sior crew will be on station to provide support 
  • Except for advertised open events, yachts must be owned by a member of Conway Yacht Club, North Wales Cruising Club or M.B.H.A. 
  • Members of recognised yacht clubs may helm as guests for a maximum of four races
